Role Overview:
As a Store Manager at Goodwill, you'll be instrumental in managing all aspects of store operations, from maximizing sales to ensuring merchandise is displayed in an enticing manner. You'll collaborate closely with the management team to meet daily sales goals and enhance the overall shopping environment. With a focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork, you'll lead by example and inspire your team to deliver top-notch service every day.
What You'll Do:
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement plans to exceed daily sales targets and elevate key performance metrics.
- Visual Merchandising: Showcase our merchandise through creative displays and strategic space allocation.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate employees to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold Goodwill's mission.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, evaluate pricing, and take proactive measures to prevent losses.
- Security and Banking: Safeguard cash and store receipts, and handle banking transactions with precision and integrity.
- Training and Compliance: Stay up to date with training sessions and ensure adherence to safety policies and regulations.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: Two years of customer service and supervisory experience, preferably in retail apparel management.
- Drive and Initiative: A proactive mindset with a passion for achieving results and fostering teamwork.
- Reliability: A valid driver's license, good driving record, and willingness to travel as needed.
- Commitment to Inclusion: An eagerness to support individuals with barriers to employment and promote diversity and inclusion.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting and maneuvering objects up to 50 lbs.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Transportation: Must have an insured vehicle for store-related travel.
- Age and License: Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and maintain a good driving record.
- Comprehensive Background Check: Must undergo a thorough criminal background check to ensure the safety and security of our employees and customers.
- Drug and Alcohol Policy: Must maintain compliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Essential for this role.
- Numerical Proficiency: Ability to calculate discounts, proportions, and percentages.
- Training: Comprehensive training provided over a period of up to six months.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Mobility: Climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, and handling.
- Communication: Clear verbal communication and keen hearing.
- Visual Acuity: Clear vision for merchandise identification and safety.
- Strength: Lifting/carrying objects up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally. Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs, often 50 lbs.
