OUR MISSION
Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, Inc. provides work opportunities, job training and support services for people with disabilities or other employment barriers.

JOB SUMMARY
Functions as an advocate and coordinates job requirements such as task acquisition, worker socialization, and community integration. Completes all necessary paperwork and reports regarding employment services for the supported worker. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; PAID TRAINING PROVIDED UPON HIRE. ELIGIBLE FOR BENEFITS

JOB SCHEDULE
Retail Job Coach: Sites open Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Determines strengths and needs of service recipient regarding community employment in a Goodwill retail store.
  • Models the job for the service recipient, using the correct techniques required by the organization.
  • Ensures that employer quality and quantity standards are maintained by fully training the service recipient to perform all aspects of the job, and by actually performing the job until independence is achieved in order to maintain production quotas.
  • Interacts with and instructs individuals with reinforcement for positive behavior; and promotes social integration, worker socialization, proper communication skills, and positive work attitudes.
  • Completes documentation of supported workers performance towards completion of goals, monthly reports to referral/funding source, vocational assessments of service recipients, and incident/accident reports as necessary.
  • Completes job trainings and in-service trainings as determined by the organization and required by the funding source.
  • Provides daily status report of job performed to report to the funding source.
  • Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs, and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes. Attends safety training sessions and safety meetings. Maintains current certifications in First Aid and CPR and administers First Aid and CPR as required. Goodwill provides training for certification and maintenance of First Aid and CPR.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attends team meetings in the capacity of a vocational professional and reports on progress of supported worker, as well as plans for future service needs.
  • Maintains secure environment by following safety procedures of the Company.
  • May transport individual(s) served to team meeting or work events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate, minimum age of 21, and with the ability to pass required competency-based training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, seeing, and depth perception.
  • Lifting/Carrying/ Pushing/Pulling: Medium Work -- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

SPECIAL CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, with a good driving record.
  • Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation, including current automobile insurance inspection, and license plate.
  • Must be eligible for a positive outcome on required State of Oklahoma criminal conviction background check.
  • Must maintain Goodwill’s Drug-Free Workplace.
  • Must maintain use of cell phone.
  • Goodwill considers this a safety sensitive position because it includes tasks or other duties that Goodwill reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.
  • Maintain required immunization record or waivers.
