JOB SUMMARY
Fulfills essential job functions for a variety of sorting and shipping assignments as directed by the Textiles Supervisor or other Processing Management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Visually examines, inspects, cleans, and manually sorts donated goods merchandise for store quality or salvage from carts, tables, and boxes.
Appropriately prepares merchandise for store shipment on hangers, racks or shipping carts using the correct shipping material and container.
Uses cloth and cleaning solution to clean items for store sales.
Keeps tally sheet recording number of carts per category sorted on daily basis or attach proper store labeling for shipping.
Places filled or empty containers/laundry carts in proper locations.
Assists others when own store order is complete.
Responsible for general housekeeping in work area.
Must wear company approved personal protective equipment while working.
Will fill in, as directed by supervisor, as a Utility Processor-Shipping and Utility Processor-Wares to ensure production goals are met.
Responsible for general housekeeping in work area.
Reviews and is familiar with company safety policies, programs, and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
On-the-job training is over a period up to and including three (3) months.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, fingering seeing and depth perception.
Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying: Light Work: Lifting 20 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
Pushing/Pulling: Heavy work--Pushing/Pulling 100 lbs. maximum with frequent pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
